Why I Built This Community
"For 15 years, I ran my property development business in Manchester as a one-man band. I had no one to turn to when things got tough, and the frustration, overwhelm, and isolation left me disconnected from the passion that got me started in the first place.
When I moved to Sweden in 2015, I turned to social media to stay connected and stumbled upon business groups that offered support and advice. These communities became my lifeline—they helped me feel less alone and gave me the confidence to keep moving forward.
But there was a problem. The public nature of these platforms made it hard for me to share openly, and I was constantly distracted by ads, irrelevant content, and random notifications. As someone with ADHD, this was a nightmare. When I tried building my own Facebook group, algorithms got in the way, limiting my reach and frustrating both me and my clients. Many of us disliked social media altogether, feeling it wasn’t a place for deep, meaningful connection.

Can I invite my team?
Yes! Our methodology focuses on freeing up your time effectively.
We believe there are two main ways to do this:
1. Delegating work.
2. Automating tasks with systems, automation and AI.
By focusing on delegating work first, you can offload time-consuming, repetive tasks AND have your team member help you build automations, utilise AI and create systems.
We'll train your team and support them to implement what they learn. This way you can enjoy the benefits without doing all the work yourself - allowing you to focus on higher value work.
After you join SYS Academy, if you don't already have an assistant, one of our first steps will be to help you hire one.
How many team members you can add depends on your level of membership - this is shown on the product information page and checkout.

Can my team attend group coaching calls?
We encourage you to invite one team member to attend each group coaching sessions included in your membership.
They can join with you or attend on your behalf.
This enables us to train them on systemizing your business and implementing our course content- so you don't have to.
Different team members can join each call so we can support each in their specific role. However, we only permit one team member on each call to ensure we have time to answer everyone's questions.
Can I change my active team members?
Of course. We understand thae staff leave, roles change and responsibilities are fluid in small business - that's why we created a self-service portal so you can add or remove members and change their access level directly through our platform.

Do I get direct access to Steve?
Steve is active in the community and answers all questions, with the help of his team. He runs monthly Office Hours Sessions - where you can ask questions, and get support and accountability directly from Steve.
The majority training events, workshops and accelerators are run by Steve.
If you opt for Group Coaching- it is Steve who runs these sessions.
You also have the option to purchase individual 121 coaching sessions with Steve.
What are Monthly Office Hours?
SYS Monthly Office Hours are open, interactive sessions where you can ask questions, get advice, receive feedback, and connect with like-minded members in a supportive, relaxed environment. Sessions are recorded so you can revisit the insights anytime.

Can I share my product or service with the community?
We encourage our members to help and support each other. You can apply to run a workshop or event to share your expertise and grow your authority. People interested in learning more about what you offer can reach out to you via direct messaging on our platform.
We have a strict no-selling policy in our community, We will remove anyone found soliciting per our Community Guidelines.
How is this platform different from a Facebook group?
One of the main reasons I built this private platform is because I dislike the constant, irrelevant ads, notifications, and messages that come with free platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. I find it frustrating (and distracting) to be bombarded with unsolicited offers for products and services I don’t need, or random people trying to connect. That’s why we’ve established strict community guidelines: we do not allow or tolerate unsolicited emails or direct messages. Repeat offenders will be banned without warning.
Unlike Facebook, you have full control over what you see and the notifications you receive. For more details, check out our FAQ on managing content and notifications below.
Also, because we charge for membership, we don’t rely on advertising revenue. This means your experience is completely free from unwanted distractions, allowing you to focus on building the freedom-driven business you deserve!
Can I choose what content I see and manage my notifications and email preferences?
Our private platform is fully customizable. You choose what, when and where you receive notifications (if any) and who can message you.
Select only the spaces that are relevant to you, or only get notified when people reply to your specific questions - it's entirely up to you :)
Do you have Android and iOS mobile apps?
Yes, we do! Everything in our community platform is accessible via native Android and iOS apps, so you can get the support you need on all your devices.

Can I speak to someone before I join?
I believe the best way for you to know if the SYS Academy is right for you is to join and see for yourself. Therefore, we offer a full, unconditional 30-day refund guarantee so you can make an informed decision (see our refund FAQ below for more details).

Will you remind me before my next payment is due?
Yes. We partner with Stripe as our secure payment service provider. Stripe will send you an email a few days before each payment is due so there are no nasty surprises . You can update your payment information, change subscription or cancel through Stripe's self-serve portal at any time- no need to contact us first (see our cancelation policy below).
Can I pause my membership?
We are unable to pause membership. You are free to cancel at anytime and rejoin at a later date (subject to our cancellation policy). However, any promotional rates offered when your signed up may not by available when you rejoin.
What is your Cancellation policy?
There is no minimum term and you can cancel at any time by visiting your self-serve client portal. You do not need to give a reason for cancelling but one is always appreciated to help us improve our services.
Please note, no refunds are offered after the first 30 days. When you cancel your subscription, no further payments will be taken and you will retain access until the end of your current paid period. (Please see 'What happens to my access when I end my membership?' for more information)
If after cancelling you change your mind, you can rejoin at anytime before your paid period ends to keep your discounted rate.
If you want to re-join after your subscription has ended, you will not receive any promotional rates offered at the time of purchase.

Do you have a refund policy?
Yes. We offer a full 30 day, unconditional refund policy. Just drop us an email to [email protected] within the first 30 days and we will refund your fee in full. The refund usually takes 3-5 working days. You can see full details in our Terms of Business.
What happens to my access when I end my membership?
Your access to our community, support groups, courses, systems, training recordings and resources will be removed when you end your membership.
However, if you are a returning (legacy) client with existing access to courses and systems, you will retain any pre-existing access when you end your SYS Academy membership.
